Xbox One News: Live System Update Features Screeshots, Friend Suggestions, Spam Reporting

Xbox One rolled out its live March updates two days ago, equipping players with new features like screenshot capabilities and friend suggestions, among many others.

The much anticipated new options players were awaiting since they were announced early last month finally went live on March 10 when Xbox One rolled out their updates to include screenshots and friend suggestions in their latest system update.

Players will now be able to take screenshots of their screen in midgame and upload them to share on Twitter. They will also be able to use chosen screenshots as their system dashboard's background image, as well as adjust the level of tile transparency for images.

Another new function is the friend suggestion to help players find other Xbox Live users playing the same game. Users will be able to take advantage of the suggested friends option to add more friends to their game. This function includes valuable content from the game community's broadcasters, top influencers, and clip creators.

Party chat will feature new enhancements in the form of microphone status for participants, showing the Kinect icon and headset icon to differentiate which option players use as their mic.

While gamertags will still be the primary mode of identification on Xbox Live, players will be able to take advantage of the premium on privacy with the option to share their real name with select friends or with the entire Xbox Live community.

Apart from the new capability to report spam messages, a new setting in voice search allows players to collect and analyze voice data anonymously on Xbox search using Bing.

Australian users will have access to OneGuide support and Live TV listings, as well as Digital TV Tuner that will be made available for pre-purchase by March 25.
