Microsoft's Xbox One Firmware update has now begun rolling out following its limited beta test this month, according to reports.

Moreover, the website stated that this will be that last for this year's update rolling as the company has yet to focus on maintaining the Xbox Live over the typically busy holiday season.

"Monthly updates will then resume at some point early in the new year," the site went on to say.

As previously reported by IGN, Xbox Head Phil Spencer revealed in a podcast held last month that Microsoft will be introducing sets of customizable themes, background pics, as well as in-game screenshots to the gaming console.

"With the latest update, users can now choose a custom color as a theme or achievement art as a background image," the site went on to say the details.

The Major Nelson blog site also stated that aside from the provided theme and background image customization options, users can also use "the Media Player app to pick any JPG or PNG image off of a USB attached drive or a home media server that supports DLNA."

Profile information is also among the customizable aspect included in the update. Location and bio info found on Xbox 360 is now on Xbox One.

Moreover, a new "Showcase feature" is also integrated in the rolled out update. This means players can highlight up to six OneDrive game clips or unlocked Achievements in their profile page.

Meanwhile, the mentioned Twitter integration means that console owners can now link their Twitter account to their unit which subsequently allows them to share game clip highlights to their friends or followers.
