Xbox One X is 'Not for Everybody,' Bares Microsoft Gaming Boss
With just a few more weeks before the Xbox One X's official launching, Microsoft's gaming head revealed some surprising statements regarding the console that is tagged as "the most powerful" ever.
According to a Gamespot report, Xbox boss Phil Spencer explained during the Brasil Game Show last week that the highly-anticipated creation of Microsoft may not be for all gamers. Spencer noted that the Xbox One X will cater to a select market of gamers who are looking for "the very best experience" in home gaming entertainment.
"Whether you're on a 1080p TV or a 4K TV, you're going to have a great experience. But it's not for everybody," said Spencer. He likened it to the time when they created the Xbox One Elite controller where they didn't force the product to the gaming public.

He also stressed that releasing the Xbox One X will give gamers an added option, especially for those who are looking to take their experience to the highest level, thus far. "Their number one form of entertainment, and we want to give them the very best experience. I've played games in true 4K with HDR, and they look fantastic. But it doesn't mean everybody has to do that. So we're giving gamers a choice," he went on to say.
In addition, Spencer also noted that the Xbox One X will still be the "market leader" for the company. He explained that the console is still the more affordable choice, and it also offers the same set of games as the Xbox One X.
Back in August, Microsoft announced in a press release that pre-orders for the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition exceeded the pre-orders recorder by other Xbox versions in the past. Mike Nichols, Corporate Vice President of Marketing for Xbox said that records were broken in just a few days, as pre-orders were sold out in several countries from across the globe.
"You, our biggest fans, have pre-ordered more Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition consoles in the first five days than any Xbox ever," said Nichols.
The Xbox One X launches on Nov. 7.
