Other rumored specs and features of the Xiaomi Mi 5 include 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It would also include a 5.7-inch quad-HD screen, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 6-megapixel front camera, the report details.

Since the Mi 4 is powered by a 3,080 mAh battery, Xiaomi fans are hoping that the Mi 5 will have a larger power capacity and will have several variants in terms of memory.

An alleged teaser of the Xiaomi Mi 5 was leaked recently and it bore the number "5" and the words "Are you ready." In the teaser, a fingerprint is seen at the bottom, further strengthening suspicions that the Mi 5 may include a fingerprint scanner.

As of now, the release date of Xiaomi Mi 5 has not yet been revealed, and the company has remained largely mum on the specs of the handset. But there are rumors that the Chinese smartphone firm may unveil the flagship device on Sept. 24.
