Xiaomi Mi Note Specs, Release Date: High-End Phablet to Hit Malaysia, Singapore Through Uber

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will work together with Uber to bring the Xiaomi Mi Note handset to two countries in Southeast Asia.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the two companies have agreed on a collaboration to literally deliver the brand new device to customers' doorsteps in Malaysia and Singapore.

In the report, customers would be able to order a Xiaomi Mi Note and track it as though an Uber cab is going to pick them up. They should have an Uber account, and they would pay for the device via credit card.

The announcement came from Xiaomi's Vice President Hugo Barra, and the collaboration would begin on July 27.

The Xiaomi Mi Note is one of the two high-end Android devices announced by Xiaomi in January. The smartphone packs a 5.7-inch LCD display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHZ, and 64GB of built-in storage.

Other specs include a 13MP primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), a 4MP front snapper, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, topped with Xiaomi's very own MIUI.

In addition to the Mi Note, Xiaomi would also offer more devices in the two countries through Uber, as mentioned by Barra.
