YEEZY Boost 350 V2 News & Updates: Kanye West's Adidas Originals Low-Top Sneakers Outsell Michael Jordan's Nike Air Force 1

YEEZY Boost 350 V2 is on track to dethrone Nike Air Force 1 as one of the bestselling sneakers of all time. Recent figures showed that Kanye West and adidas Originals' much-hyped Beluga pair made more money than the mighty Michael Jordan Brand.

YEEZY Boost 350 V2 Beats Nike Air Force 1

Per StockX, sales figures from SportsOneSource's SSIData showed that the "STEGRY/BELUGA/SOLRED" colorway of YEEZY Boost 350 V2 was the top-selling retail sneaker for the week ending Sept. 24. In just one day, the famous Kanye West-adidas Original collab low-top sneakers generated more money in the U.S. than the Jordan Brand.

Two Nike sneakers trailed behind YEEZY Boost 350 V2 in the list of highest selling shoe accounted for all week. Nike Air Force 1 Low and Nike Air Force 1 Mid ranked second and third, respectively. These shoes belong to the continuing Air Jordan Brand, which is widely regarded as the bestselling athletic sneakers in the history.

StockX did not provide the exact number for sales, however, it mentioned that the YEEZY Boost 350 V2 accumulated 60 percent more revenues than the Nike Air Force 1 Low. It also noted that the sold-out Beluga pair drove sales higher than the close competition in just 24 hours.

Price Difference

According to FN, YEEZY Boost 350 V2 has an advantage because it costs higher than the Nike Air Force 1. West's low top sneaker is priced at $220 while Nike Air Force 1 Low is retailed for $90.

The $130 price difference gives an advantage to the sought-after YEEZY sneakers when it comes to sales in U.S. dollars. It means that it would require YEEZY Boost 350 V2 to sell fewer pairs to generate more money than the Nike Air Force 1 Low.

More YEEZYS Are Coming

After the Beluga pair, West and adidas Originals are rumored to release a new YEEZY kick, this time a high top sneaker. Yeezy Mafia posted  on Twitter that a new YEEZY Boost 750 in "Light Brown" colorway will be released on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The new silhouette boasts some improvements from its predecessor, including a mid-foot strap, zippers along the ankle and perforations on the toe box. It is finished off with a semi-translucent gum outsole and cushioned with an encapsulated full-length midsole.

Kicks on Fire reported that the new colorway of YEEZY Boost 750 costs $350. Details to preorder the new high-top sneakers are still unknown.

On the other, West and adidas Originals have not yet released an official statement about the rumored new release. YEEZY Boost 750 was released last June in a "Light Grey/Gum" colorway.
