Ian Ziering, star of "90210", and his wife Erin have announced that they are expecting their second child together, adding what a blessing it is.
The couple married in May 2010 and welcomed their daughter Mia Loren in April 2011, but cannot wait to meet the baby.
"I feel blessed, having a family is something that I've always wanted," Ziering told People magazine. "Having a second child is the realization of a dream come true."
With his wife due in May, Ziering said his daughter is beginning to understand that she will soon be a big sister.
"We tell her 'baby' and point to Erin's belly," he told the publication. "Now she points to Erin's belly and says 'Baby.'"
Meanwhile, the couple has not yet learned the gender of their baby on the way. As they await the child's arrival, Ziering said work would keep him busy, noting that he "[has] a lot of irons in the fire."
Alternately, Ziering's fellow "90210" alum Tori Spelling has also started a family. The actress has four children, with the youngest Finn Davey arriving in August.
Spelling and husband Dean McDermott welcomed their youngest just 10 months after delivering their daughter Hattie. As a result, Spelling was diagnosed with placenta previa, a condition in which the placenta covers the cervix and leads to massive internal bleeding.
During her pregnancy with Finn, the 39-year-old mother spent 10 weeks in the hospital along with four painful months on bed rest.
"I just remember thinking, I can't leave three children behind," Spelling recalled, according to Us Weekly.
Although Finn Davey was delivered safely via C-section, the actress' health scare had not ended. Spelling returned to the hospital three weeks after Finn arrived for emergency surgery.
While she loves being pregnant, Spelling said she and her husband will not have any more kids, according to Us Weekly.
