  • Bachmann: New Hampshire Campaign Staff Quitting a 'Rumor'

By Stephanie Samuel on October 21,2011

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann denies reports that her entire New Hampshire team quit nearly two months ahead of the first primary races.

After several news agencies reported that the Minnesota Congresswoman's New Hampshire staffers resigned en masse, Bachmann called into Radio Iowa Friday and denounced the reports as false.

Bachmann told the station, "That is a shocking story to me I don't know where that came from. We have called staff in New Hampshire to find out where that came from and the staff have [sic] said that isn't true, so I don't know if this is just a bad story that's being fed by a different candidate or campaign. I have no idea where this came from, but we've made calls and it's certainly not true." more >>

  • Herman Cain's 9-9-9, Praising of Greenspan Cause for Concern?

By Stephanie Samuel on October 13,2011

On Tuesday night, presidential candidate Herman Cain may have made his biggest slip thus far, by electing former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, who some now blame for the 2008 financial crisis, as his standard of economic leadership.

During the Tuesday night debate in New Hampshire, Cain told audience members that he believes Greenspan was the best Fed chairman in the last 40 years, and he would be a model for the person Cain would nominate to the position. His reasoning was simple.

"That's when I served on the board of the Federal Reserve in the 1990s, and the way Alan Greenspan oversaw the Fed and the way he coordinated with all of the Federal Reserve banks, I think that it worked fine back in the early 1990s," Cain said. more >>

  • Mitt Romney, Herman Cain Dodge Huntsman's Jabs

By Stephanie Samuel on October 12,2011

Though Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman Jr. made some memorable one-liners throughout the New Hampshire debate, the former Utah governor struggled to show off his experience and capability in a positive light.

Huntsman touted his top-notch governorship and his knowledge as ambassador in his questions and answers. However, he was often overpowered when he took a turn to the negative.

Huntsman pressed front-runner Mitt Romney on his experience, characterizing Romney and his business firm Bain Capital Venture as "someone who breaks down business [and] destroys jobs." more >>

  • Celina Cass: Authorities Searching for Clues About Death at Cass Home

By Eryn Sun on August 03,2011

After Celina Cass’ body was found on Monday in the Connecticut River, police have been investigating the cause of death, searching her home – where she was last seen – on Wednesday for answers.

The 11-year-old who went missing on July 25 disappeared from her room late in the evening, where she lived with her biological mother, stepfather, and older sister. Her body was recovered a few days later in the river, close to a hydroelectric dam near her home, local reports revealed.

Though authorities suspected no signs of trouble in the home when the search initially launched according to Fox News, police now believe foul play was involved in the death of the young girl “based on what [they had] seen visually.” more >>
