A Bernese Mountain Dog may seem to be a fierce breed, but deep within that furry exterior is a placid demeanor.
A work animal in its native Switzerland, the burly creature is known for its kindness with children and even other mammals.
Case in point: a desperate, lowly squirrel that tries to hide its food inside the protective hairy walls of the Swiss canine. more >>
Evangelical leaders and policy groups have come together to launch the "Every Living Thing" campaign, which is centered on protecting animal welfare.
The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Ethics and Public Policy Center, and The Clapham Group released on Wednesday the "Evangelical Statement on Responsible Care for Animals."
"We resolve to rule and treat all animals as living valued creatures, deserving of compassion, because they ultimately belong to God, because He has created them, declared them good, given them the breath of life, covenanted with them, and entrusted them to our responsible rule," reads the statement, in part, that was shared with The Christian Post. more >>
This man is riding a tractor and pulling a bunch of cute puppy dogs along with him. It's probably something you've never seen before. This video is very unique and has a touching backstory. Eugene Bostick has a reason for pulling these dogs, and it will warm your heart.
When Bostick retired, he decided to start picking up stray dogs that had been abandoned near his property. He took them in, allowing them to live in his barn and run free on his property. After seeing a tractor pull a cart of rocks one day, Bostick was inspired to create a puppy train. He did this by cutting up plastic barrels to make each puppy's seat, and attaching wheels to them.
Bostick takes his doggy friends out at least once a week, and the puppy train puts a smile on the faces of those in his neighborhood. more >>
Trainers at the Seattle Aquarium had a difficult task on their hands when one of their otters got diagnosed with asthma. Getting a young child to use an inhaler is one thing, but a sea otter? That's a whole other challenge.
Mishka is a 1-year-old sea otter who is beloved at the aquarium. Her incredible tale is one that will inspire and bring hope to animal caregivers around the world who are dealing with sick animals. Unlike humans, getting an animal to take medicine isn't as easy as singing it a Mary Poppins song. The American Academy of Allergy Asthma Immunulogy estimates that millions will suffer from this incurable disease, and there's no telling how many animals it will affect. Thankfully, Mishka was able to learn how to use her inhaler and have an active life with other otters in her aquarium.

If you've ever owned a cat before you know they can be selfish at times. They can also be very sweet, yet they always tend to be very independent. You might want to get a dog if you're looking for a loyal companion. In this case, this man got both a cat and a dog in one.
Marley's owner says that the cat, which is 14 years old, has always acted like a dog. Always comes when called, sits down for treats, and likes to go for a walk on his leash — a rare occurrence, and definitely worth seeing. Marley is even better than a dog in some regards. You will not believe Marley's favorite activities: riding in cars and swinging on the playground swing set. It's possible that Marley could be the greatest cat anyone has ever seen!
