Sarah Palin’s emails, released late last week demonstrating how she found strength and guidance in her Christian faith, are the latest target of the mainstream media.

National Journal included Palin’s prayer for God’s guidance on the Alaska’s budget in what it featured as the top 10 “revelations” from her emails Sunday. “I have been praying for wisdom on this ... God will have to show me what to do on the people’s budget because I don’t yet know the right path ... He will show me though,” Palin was quoted as saying in an email.

Alaska officials will release 24,199 pages of Sarah Palin’s emails today after the first public records request was made.

Seventeen media organizations and individuals will each receive six 50-pound boxes of printed and partially redacted copies of emails from Palin’s term as governor through 2008. Palin’s emails from the McCain presidential campaign are not included in what will be made available.

In an interview on Fox News Sunday, Palin indicated there isn’t much news in the emails. “Every rock in the Palin household that could ever be kicked over and uncovered anything, it’s already been kicked over,” she said. more >>

Labriola never expected to go into “Christian comedy.” To him, comedy – at least the kind popularly portrayed today – was about injecting a few curse words here and there with a mixture of sexual innuendos added to the punch line.

According to recent campaign polls, Mitt Romney is at the top of the pack of Republicans seeking to replace President Obama. Despite his frontrunner status, the Romney campaign has elected not to compete in any GOP straw polls, including Iowa.

“Our campaign has made the decision to not participate in any straw polls, whether it’s in Florida, Iowa, Michigan or someplace else,” said Matt Rhoades in a written statement. "We respect the straw poll process. In the last presidential campaign we were both strengthened as an organization and learned some important lessons by participating in them. This time we will focus our energies and resources on winning primaries and caucuses.”

Considered a Tea Party favorite, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) continues to garner positive reactions from conservative voters as she touts her pro-life stance and vows to repeal Obamacare.

The 55-year-old has yet to announce her candidacy for U.S. president but is expected to later this month.

Bachmann was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2006 and presently serves on the Financial Services Committee and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. She also chairs the House Tea Party Caucus. Before becoming a member of Congress, she served in the Minnesota State Senate. Mitt Romney has an approval rating above that of other Republican presidential candidates and is in a dead heat with President Barack Obama, according to a new poll.

The Washington Post-ABC poll released Tuesday also showed Americans were concerned about rising gasoline prices, falling home values and increasing unemployment, which have evaporated the popularity Obama enjoyed following the killing of Osama bin Laden just a month ago.

In general, six out of 10 Americans interviewed gave Obama negative marks for the handling of the economy and deficit. Almost two-thirds of political independents also disapproved of Obama’s stewardship of the economy. more >>
