Was the Apostle Paul a Misogynist?

In the modern world many people rather casually assume, or assert, that the Apostle Paul was a misogynist based upon his teachings concerning the differing roles of men and women in the church and in marriage in the early church.

Radical Islamic Jihadism: A Mortal Threat to Western Civilization

Make no mistake, the radical Islamic jihadist terrorist attacks in Paris strike at the very heartbeat of Western Civilization, namely freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, and freedom of religion. These freedoms are essential and priceless values of Western Civilization. In fact, the belief that freedom of speech is cherished as a universal right was enshrined in the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 19 of which declares, "Everyone has the right to fre

Racial Reconciliation and the Gospel: How We Can Exorcize the Ghosts of the Past

No matter how one might feel personally about the precise nature of these two individual incidents in Missouri and New York City, the undeniable reality is that when black Americans and white Americans view them through such contrasting lenses, we still have a serious rift in the nation's social fabric.

The Tax Code Is Public Policy

Yes, the tax burden the U.S. government imposes on its people is more onerous than those imposed by the governments of such "progressive" countries as Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom.

  • Our Savior's Strategy of Communication

    Our Savior's Strategy of Communication

In the book of Revelation the risen, ascended Lord Jesus Christ appears to the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos and, among other things, gives the Beloved Apostle a letter to each of seven churches in Asia Minor. In each of the letters if the church was doing something right He always told them what they were doing well before He told them what they were doing wrong. Would it not revolutionize our churches if Christians applied Jesus' strategy in discussions and disagreements with our brothers

IS (Islamic State): A Civilizational Threat

This is what makes IS such a grave threat to the civilized world. The closest analogy to IS in modern history is the U.S.S.R. (The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), which was dedicated to imposing communism worldwide, heedless of national boundaries.

Israel Under Siege: An Evangelical Diary (Day 4 - Final)

Our last day in Israel was both inspiring and eventful. We went to the Upper Room and had lunch in the Central City Market, and did some taping for CBN and the Trinity Broadcasting Networks, both of which have studios that have a spectacular view of Jerusalem. We then traveled to Tel Aviv and received an "off the record" briefing on the development of the Iron-Dome technology which has allowed the Israelis to shoot down over 90% of the more than 1200 rockets that have been fired at them by Hamas

Israel Under Siege: An Evangelical Diary (Day 3)

What a 24 hours! Shortly before midnight Tuesday night, as I was preparing to be a guest on Tony Perkin's "Washington Watch" radio program being broadcast live from the CBN studios in Jerusalem, the air raid sirens went off, signaling a rocket attack was imminent. So, I joined Tony, the sound engineer, and former Senator Rick Santorum (in an adjacent studio to be interviewed) in the studio's stairwell until the all-clear was sounded.

Israel Under Siege: An Evangelical Diary (Day 2)

Today we traveled to Neot Kedumium, the Biblical Landscape Reserve in Israel, a 600-acre plot of land near Tel Aviv's Ben-Gurion Airport that has been reclaimed from desert to land that produces many kinds of trees, plants, grains, olives, and fruit mentioned in the Bible. It was truly inspiring to see how the Israelis have re-forested not only this plot, but also much of Israel. Israel is the only country in the world that had more acres of forest in 2000 than they did in 1900. Everyone in our

We just finished the first day of our Christians in Solidarity with Israel tour sponsored by the National Religious Broadcasters. Our delegation flew here yesterday, arrived in Tel Aviv Monday morning, and traveled by minivan to Jerusalem.
