Jaime Tatos Maldonado was walking to a Kroger in Dallas when he came upon a guy on a guitar giving an impressive sidewalk performance. He started filming when a stranger walked up and was also drawn in by the performer's addictive rhythm and melody.
The new listener put his bag down and jumped in with an improvised vocal line. The impromptu duo is going back and forth when a third gentleman joins and drops a freestyle rap about praying during a time in need.
The video has gone viral, and Maldonado has since identified the performer as pop/soul/R&B songwriter Jesse Rya. We now count down to the eventual studio recording and release on iTunes. I'll buy it.
