Christian singer Lauren Daigle recently visited Angola State Prison and raised $17,000 for the inmates.

The campaign raised $17,000 to help fund clothing and phone calls evenly distributed to the 6,300 prisoners of the Louisiana penitentiary this Christmas.

“In the middle of the pain, in the middle of your problems, in the middle of you being the worst of who you are, He comes and He sits next to you in the process. He doesn’t point the finger, He doesn’t give you shame, He sits with you. I think that’s why He’s called the Savior of the world,” she told the inmates.

35 psychologists resign from UK gender identity clinic with 3,000 kids on wait list

Thirty-five psychologists have resigned from the children’s gender-identity service in London in the last three years as there has been an exponential increase in referrals for gender dysphoria in the last decade.

Six of the former psychologists who spoke out expressed concerns about the over-authorizing of hormone treatment to children with gender dysphoria and felt they couldn’t properly explore underlying psychological factors.

"Our fears are that young people are being over-diagnosed and then over-medicalized,” one psychologist told the outlet, asking to remain unnamed.

"We are extremely concerned about the consequences for young people. ... For those of us who previously worked in the service, we fear that we have had front row seats to a medical scandal."

White evangelicals support Trump, wall, weed legalization, Medicare expansion

A recently released Fox News poll paints a complicated picture of the various public policies that registered voters in the United States who identify as white evangelical support.

Among respondents who identified as “white evangelical,” 66 percent said they support building a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border, which was well above the 44 percent for all respondents.

When assessing Trump’s overall job performance, 67 percent said they either “strongly” or “somewhat” approved of the president.

Regarding the impeachment process, 29 percent said Trump should be impeached and removed from office, while two-thirds (67 percent) opposed impeachment.

However, white evangelicals also supported more politically progressive ideas as well.

53 percent said they supported the legalization of recreational marijuana.

58 percent of white evangelicals expressed support for Medicare expansion.

Fla. Education Department says athletic association should not ban prayer from high school football games

Florida’s Department of Education has expressed their support for two Christian high schools who were barred from having a prayer given via loudspeaker at a football game held at the Citrus Bowl Stadium.

Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran sent a letter to the Florida High School Athletic Association last Friday, denouncing the decision to prohibit the prayer as “deeply troubling.”

The letter called on the Association to review “its policies and procedures to ensure religious expression is permitted to the greatest extent possible under the law.”

“Policies that are overbroad or restrictive may deny students their constitutional right to private religious expression. Such policies must be immediately repealed and replaced with policies that are consistent with the religious freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution.”

Appeals court rules against Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks

A three judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has ruled against a Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks into a pregnancy with some exceptions.

In the case of Jackson Women’s Health Organization v. Thomas E. Dobbs, the panel issued a unanimous ruling last Friday upholding a lower court decision against the law.

In response to the decision, Governor Phil Bryant said, “We will sustain our efforts to fight for America’s unborn children. Mississippi will continue this mission to the United States Supreme Court.”
