James Shupe, the first American to obtain legal nonbinary gender status on ID cards and U.S. documents, has called the nonbinary gender X scheme a sham and recently revised his legal sex marker to male to accurately reflect his biological sex.

Shupe identified as female before he petitioned a court to allow him to obtain nonbinary legal status. He recently returned to the same court requesting that the sex listed on his birth certificate be restored to "male” and his petition was granted.

In his petition, Shupe described the belief that people can be nonbinary, meaning neither male nor female or both, as a "psychologically harmful legal fiction."

— Christian prayer hall dedicated to Jesus Christ attacked by Hindu radicals

A Christian community hall in India’s predominantly Hindu West Bengal state was attacked Saturday by Hindu radicals believed to have connections to President Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party. Three men were arrested Sunday night in connection with the attack on the Christian center that’s called Jesus’ Prayer Home.

Around 800 people from 28 different villages were gathered for the building’s inauguration. Local media reports that many Hindus in the area are concerned that the community hall will be used to convert Hindus to Christianity.

— Candace Owens dropped from Jameela Jamil podcast over 'only women can give birth' tweet

Christian conservative commentator Candace Owens says famous British podcaster Jameela Jamil, an actress and former BBC Radio 1 host, rescinded her invitation to appear on her show because she commented on Twitter that “only women can give birth.”

The 30-year-old Owens announced on Twitter Monday that Jamil canceled her appearance because she felt Owens’ tweet caused her trans-identified co-workers to feel "unsafe."

The dispute between the two women began Sunday when Owens responded a Daily Mirror article that identified a pregnant woman as a transgender identified man with a headline reading “Transgender man gives birth to nonbinary partner's baby with female sperm donor.” Owens tweeted a response to the Daily Mirror article with a revised headline reading: “Woman gives birth to partner’s baby with male sperm donor.”

Owens said her “refusal to untether” herself “from biological realities” has “cost” her once again.
