— Trump proclaims National Sanctity of Human Life Day
President Donald Trump proclaimed January 22nd as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. The president’s proclamation highlights the administration’s pro-life policies and global work to dispel the notion that abortion is a fundamental human right. It also says the latest data show that the number of abortions and teen pregnancies continue to decrease in the U.S.
Trump's proclamation coincides with the 47th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court case that legalized abortion nationwide, and annual March for Life on Friday. In 2017, Vice President Mike Pence became the first sitting vice president to address the gathering in person.

The Christian Association of Nigeria is demanding answers from the Nigerian government as to why it’s not stopping the slaughter of Christians in the country following the killing of the Reverend Lawan Andimi at the hands of Boko Haram on Monday.
The association issued sharp words of criticism for the Nigerian federal government and its inability to thwart attacks and abductions carried out against Christians by Boko Haram and the Islamic State's West Africa Province in Nigeria’s northeast.
The pastor was abducted by Boko Haram militants on January 3rd. Days later he appeared in a ransom video pleading with church and government leaders to secure his release. The association is now calling for three days of prayer and fasting as they mourn their leader.
— Jerry Falwell calls for ‘civil disobedience’ if Virginia passes stricter gun laws
Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. advocated for “civil disobedience” if the Democrat-controlled Commonwealth of Virginia government passes stricter gun control laws.
In an interview with conservative writer and radio host Todd Starnes, Falwell, a Virginia resident, said he had “never seen the populace more energized” on any other issue than the gun control bills being considered by the state Legislature.
Falwell told Starnes he was “pretty sure I’m going to call for civil disobedience if the Democrats go through with this.” Falwell also credited civil disobedience as a key factor in helping to pass the Civil Rights Act.

A toxicology report shows that TobyMac's son, Truett Foster McKeehan, died of an accidental overdose last October. In a statement to People magazine, a representative for the family said 21-year-old McKeehan, an aspiring rapper, overdosed on fentanyl and amphetamines when he died on October 23rd 2019.

Attacks against Christians in Europe reached record highs in 2019, as hostility and vandalism against churches, Christian schools and monuments sweep the continent.
The Gatestone Institute published its research of anti-Christian violence after having reviewed hundreds news reports, parliamentary inquiries and police blotters, and found that approximately 3,000 acts of vandalism, looting and defacement occurred last year.
