Christians are being encouraged to "speak up loudly" in response to the "unconscionable," "shameful, "indefensible" conditions of migrant children being held in detention centers.

Children are being detained with no access to basic hygiene like soap, toothpaste or toothbrushes, according to eyewitness reports.

A Trump administration lawyer argued they aren't required to provide hygienic items, but a 3-judge panel rejected that argument.

Southern Baptist Pastor Alan Cross wrote, “If you can read this, and you are an American Christian, and you think this is okay or this doesn’t grieve you in some way, may God have mercy on your soul. All that we do is pointless if we can’t care about this issue. What are our churches doing to help?”

National Religious Broadcasters says it's not going bankrupt.

Reports of the Christian media organization's possible bankruptcy are false, a spokesperson told The Christian Post.

NRB general counsel Craig Parshall said: "Because the Internet is filled with bloggers citing 'facts' that can be inaccurate, outdated, misleading (or even defamatory), the National Religious Broadcasters association practices restraint in responding to blog posts.

"Regarding NRB itself, the membership of our association has enthusiastically responded in a remarkable way to the financial challenges arising over the last few years. NRB’s present status is solid, its future is bright, its mission is focused and its impact has been renewed."

Parshall was responding to a report by Christian journalist Julie Roys saying that leaked email correspondence claimed that NRB has been financially insolvent for the last three fiscal years.

Christians oppose plans to build mosque in 'Ark of the Covenant' town.

Ethiopian Christians in the ancient city of Aksum, a town that claims to hold the biblical Ark of the Covenant in its Our Lady Mary of Zion cathedral, object to plans to build a mosque there.

Godefa Merha, a senior cleric at Our Lady Mary of Zion, told BBC, "Aksum is our Mecca. Aksum is a holy place.”

Muslims in the town say they should be able to have their own mosque. Currently, there are 13 temporary mosques in Aksum.

Jimmy Carter praised Trump's Iran response.

President Donald Trump decided against a retaliatory strike after Iran shot down an unmanned drone.

Former President Carter responded, “I agree with President Trump on his decision not to take military action against Iran.” He also recalled, “I had a lot of problems with Iran when I was in office.”

Carter added that most American wars have been unnecessary, saying, “We're supposed to be a ‘Christian’ nation, are we not? But we are known throughout the world as the most warlike country on Earth."
