Imprisoned Iranian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani ended a three-week hunger strike protesting the regime's decision to prevent his two children from moving on to the next grade levels because they refuse to study Islam.

Although the situation for his children has not changed, Nadarkhani reportedly ended his hunger strike because he felt he drew enough attention to the issue.

Nadarkhani is a former Muslim believer who led a house church in the Gilan province and is serving a 10-year prison sentence in Iran’s notorious Evin prison on the charges of promoting “Zionist Christianity” and acting against national security.

— Judge vacates Obamacare rule forcing doctors to perform sex change surgeries, abortions

A judge in Texas has struck down an Obama-era federal regulation that would have required healthcare providers and insurers to perform gender-transition procedures and abortions even if they go against their medical judgment or violate religious convictions.

U.S. District Court Judge Reed O’Connor ruled on Tuesday that the 2016 rule that broadened interpretation of federal anti-discrimination law to include “gender identity and termination of pregnancy” violates the Administrative Procedures Act and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

— March for Life 2020 theme revealed

The theme for next year’s March for Life, the largest annual pro-life rally in the United States, will be centered on historic female empowerment.

Announced Tuesday, the theme “Life Empowers: Pro-life is pro-woman" came from 2020 marking 100 years since the passage of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

March for Life organizers said, “As we celebrate this great moment in history, we remember and honor the suffragists, the original feminist leaders who recognized the inherent dignity of the unborn and that abortion not only ended a life but harmed women.”

The 47th annual March for Life is scheduled to take place on Jan. 24, 2020, at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

— Christians risk arrest if they display Bible in Saudi Arabia

Christians traveling to Saudi Arabia are being warned not to publicly display their Bible while in the country or travel with more than one copy of the text, despite the kingdom's recent openness to tourism.

The Christian persecution watchdog group Barnabus Fund cautioned that new regulations for tourists state that the Bible can only be brought in for personal use.

The Saudi Arabian government follows a strict interpretation of Islam and that openly practicing Christianity in the kingdom is forbidden.
