As part of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Caring Well Conference, SBC President J.D. Greear identified seven myths many churches have when it comes to sexual abuse.
Greear, who formed the SBC Sexual Abuse Advisory Group earlier this year, beginning with the myth that “sexual abuse is not really a problem, it’s simply the latest, leftist attack on the church.”
“Believing this myth has caused us as a convention to miscategorize the words of people ... as attacks from adversaries instead of warnings from friends,” he said.

President Donald Trump says the “biggest pastors” in America have been telling him that his ongoing fight with the media and Democrats has been fueling the greatest revival in American history.
“I got a call the other night from pastors, the biggest pastors, evangelical Christians. They said that they have never seen our religion or any religion so electrified. They say they have never seen anything like it. Churches are joining. Hundreds of thousands of people. And you know that's to a large extent because of you and your partners, the Democrats," Trump said during a Friday press conference outside the White House. “

Jimmy Carter gets black eye, stitches after bumping head while getting dressed for church
Nearly a week after celebrating his 95th birthday, cementing his status at the oldest living former president, Jimmy Carter bumped his head in a fall as he got dressed for church on Sunday, which required him to get 14 stitches.
Carter talked about the incident at a concert to rally volunteers ahead of his 36th home building project for Habitat for Humanity.
“Well first of all I wanna explain my black eye. I got up this morning at my home in Plains (Georgia) getting ready to go to church because right after that we had a family reunion and then we were coming to Nashville and I fell down and hit my forehead on a sharp edge and had to go to the hospital. And they put 14 stitches in my forehead and my eye’s black as you noticed. But I had a No. 1 priority and that is to come to Nashville to build houses."

Life.Church, led by senior pastor Craig Groeschel and responsible for the YouVersion Bible app, is the largest church in the U.S., with over 30 multi-campuses and 85,000 attendees. Its new live 11 song worship album, God So Good, came out on Sep. 20 via DREAM Worship.
God So Good was recorded at the Life.Church Edmond, Oklahoma location and was produced by Pastor JT Murrell, and co-produced by Dameon Aranda and David Wellman. The album includes songs like "God So Good," "I Won't Move," and radio single, "Where the Spirit of the Lord Is."
