Ex-gay Christians respond to pop star Taylor Swift’s pro-LGBT music video

Men who've left homosexuality behind to follow Christ say they have two responses to pop star Taylor Swift's new music video for her single titled “You Need to Calm Down” that promotes the LGBT movement.

One message, they say, is for Swift and her fans, the other is for the Christian community.

Singer Edward Byrd, who is part of a group of millennials across the country who are sharing how Jesus delivered them from homosexuality, says Swift’s video has some truth to it because many Christians don’t know how to be loving toward the LGBT community.

But Byrd also criticized Swift's video for stereotyping Christians.

The men say Swift’s video portrays Church abuses of the past, but there are many churches who are sharing the Gospel with the LGBT community without compromising biblical doctrine.

The Vatican might allow married men to become priests, but only in certain regions

Vatican officials are expressing an openness to allowing older, married men to become priests in remote areas like the Amazon in South America.

A working document was prepared in advance of the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops for the Pan-Amazonian Region which scheduled to take place in October.

The document asks the Synod to consider allowing married men of good status to become priests.

“Affirming that celibacy is a gift for the Church, the document states that, for the most remote areas of the region, the possibility of priestly ordination be studied for married men with families,” reported Vatican News, the Church’s official news publication.

Parents take school to court for teaching their 6-year-old girl gender fluidity

A couple in Ontario, Canada, has filed a complaint with the Human Rights Tribunal against a school system that taught their 6-year-old daughter about gender fluidity, causing the child distress.

The first grade teacher at Devonshire Community Public School showed the students a YouTube video about gender fluidity, which was part of lesson plans implemented to accommodate a child in the class who had expressed interest in self-expression as the opposite sex.

Among the statements presented as fact in the video shown to the children were "some people aren't boys or girls," and because of that they might not have a gender.

The young girl told her mother that the teacher also taught the class that "girls are not real and boys are not real."
