2012 Christian Grammy Nominees Chris Tomlin, Brandon Heath

With the 2012 Grammy Awards right around the corner, many Christian artists have been nominated within the larger awards show and the sub categories of the five gospel categories.

Christian music superstars, Brandon Heath and Chris Tomlin have been nominated for three awards each.

Both artists are nominated for the same awards – Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance, Best Contemporary Christian Music Song, and Contemporary Christian music Album of the year.

Tomlin's nominated song is "I Lift My Hand," and his album is And If Our God Is For Us.

For Tomlin this will be his fifth Grammy nomination. He has also been nominated for 42 Dove awards, winning 20.

Heath was nominated for his song "Your Love," while his album, Leaving Eden, is in contention with Tomlin.

This is also Heath's fifth Grammy nomination. Heath has 10 Dove nominations, winning five of them.

Heath tweeted about his nomination and said, "@brandonheath Thanks for all the well wishers out there. My voice is healing and thankful for the Grammy Noms! Congrats to all my fellow artists too."

The 54th Annual Awards show will air on Feb. 12, 2012 at the Staples Center in L.A.
