An actor has won a seat on the school board in Albuquerque. Steven Michael Quezada, who plays federal drug agent Steven Gomez on TV show "Breaking Bad" won the seat after running unopposed Tuesday.

Quezada will now take up a seat on the city's west side District 5, according to reports.

According to CBS News, there was no incumbent in that district, and so Quezada was the only candidate to file for the position.

Quezada has four children, three of whom attend the Public Academy for the Performing Arts, a charter school where the actor has been active on the governing board.

"Breaking Bad" is currently filming its fifth season, with producers reporting that this will be the final season of the hit show featuring on AMC.
