Adriana Lima Baby Girl Named Sienna: Victoria's Secret Model Shares Joy

Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima has welcomed a new baby girl into the world.

The 31-year-old and her husband Marko Jaric welcomed baby Siena into the world at 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. The healthy baby girl weighed in at 7 lbs. and was born in a New York hospital.

The baby girl was the model's second with Jaric; the couple also has 3-year-old Valentina. Even the 3-year-old was excited to welcome the new baby according to the model, who posted her status on Twitter.

"Marko and I are overjoyed to welcome Sienna into our family, and Valentina is looking forward to becoming a big sister," the model tweeted.

Lima has been modeling with Victoria's Secret since 2000. She is also a spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics and has a former contract with Elite Model. She married Jaric, a former NBA player, on Valentine's Day in 2009 following a 9-month engagement.

As a conservative Roman Catholic, the model has surprised some by stating that she waited until after marriage to have sex.

"Sex is for after marriage," she said in a 2006 GQ interview. "[Men] have to respect that this is my choice. If there's no respect, that means they don't want me."

In the past she has also been criticized for doing fasting diets in which she drinks nothing but protein shakes leading up to the Victoria's Secret show, an annual event.

But more important than being a model, for Lima, is being a mother.

"The best job in the world for me is being a mom," she stated in a previous interview, according to Mail Online. "I never thought I could love so much. I always thought, does unconditional love exist? Now I know it does because I feel it."
