Amanda Knox Latest: 'We Would Not Accept a Cent From Knox,' Says Meredith Kercher Family

The father of murdered Meredith Kercher has said he will never accept a penny from Amanda Knox, who was sensationally acquitted last month.

Knox, who was cleared of Kercher’s murder along with former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, is set to make millions with book and film deals following her release. Many broadcasters are vying for the first exclusive interview, and books deals are also lining up to find out the inside story from Knox following her 4 years in an Italian prison.

John Kercher, 68, said that his family would never seek any financial gain from anything associated with their daughter’s death.

Meredith Kercher was murdered in Perugia, Italy, in 2007. Knox and Sollecito were convicted of her murder but were recently acquitted earlier this month after a successful appeal. However, prosecutors are currently backing an Italian Supreme Court appeal against their acquittal.

Amanda Knox’s murder acquittal has garnered enormous media attention, with many networks vying for her first television interview – which could sell for an astonishing $10 million.
