Argentina vs Uruguay Live Stream: Watch World Cup Qualifying

Two titans of international football face off Friday as Argentina hosts Uruguay in what is expected to be a fast-paced and entertaining match.

Former Argentine player and current coach Alejandro Sabella will look to dominate the match offensively, with three of the world top strikers rumored to be starting. Lionel Messi, arguably the world's best forward, has been dominant so far this year, and looks to continue his goal-scoring prowess when long-time rivals Uruguay come to Estadio Malvinas Argentinas.

Gonzalo Higuain, who typically plays opposite Messi during league play in Spain, will surely welcome the beautiful play that he brings to the pitch along with Sergio Aguero. Aguero's tenacity in particular lifted Manchester City over Queens Park Rangers in the final match of the Premier League season, securing the championship for his side. Aguero had missed Argentina's last qualifying match against Peru.

Uruguayan boss Oscar Tabarez does have to adjust for a few of his regular starters that will not line up for this match due to injury.

Midfielder Diego Perez is out with injury as well as Alvaro Pereira, who is serving a suspension. It has been rumored that Perez will be replaced Walter Gargano, while Martin Caceres will look to fill the void on the left that will be left by the suspended Pereira.

On a positive note for Uruguay, they will be comforted in knowing that their two top scorers will be available. Diego Forlan will start alongside Liverpool front man Luis Suarez, who leads world cup qualifying with six goals.

Argentina vs. Uruguay is the oldest fixture in international football outside of the British Isles; the first game took place on May 16, 1901. The match was played in Montevideo and Argentina won 3-2.

Kickoff for the match is at 8:00 p.m. EDT and can be watched online here.
