Arsenal vs. Montpellier Live Stream: Watch Online Champions League Football (Kick Off 2.45PM)

Arsenal vs. Montpellier will take place Tuesday in the first round of ties in the group stages of the Champions League. The match will kick off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).

Arsenal have a strong European pedigree coming into this tie and have reached the knock out stages of the Champions League for the past nine years running. They also reached the final in 2006, only to lose to Barcelona in the final. However, even though they often reach the latter stages of the competition they have not set the competition on fire.

Many Gunners fans point to the side being unable to keep hold of their best talent, with many players often becoming frustrated at the lack of silverware and unwilling to commit to the side long enough to develop the promising young talent entering the side.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has also refused to simply try and buy success and takes pride in nurturing the younger talent on the Gunners' books. However, their lack of titles has seen criticism come his way over recent seasons.

Nevertheless Arsenal will be hot favorites for tonight's game, and are coming off the back of a big victory against Premier League newcomers Southampton at the weekend, where they routed the south coasters 6-1. Although an away trip to Montpellier will be anything but a walk in the park. The French side are newcomers to the Champions League and will be looking to impress in front of their home crowd.

Arsenal will be without first-choice keeper Wojciech Szczesny for the game in France. In other team news Tomas Rosicky (hamstring), Jack Wilshere (ankle), Bacary Sagna (leg) and Emmanuel Frimpong (knee) are all out of tonight's match.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said ahead of the European tie: "Vito is very close to the number one jersey, and he gets another opportunity now. He has belief and he has the mental strength to deal with that. He was on the list as goalkeeper number five at the beginning of the season and now he is number two. That shows you how quickly football can change."

Another concern for the Gunners will be that manager Arsene Wenger will be in the stands for the game, as he serves the first of a three match ban. He was issued the penalty after he angrily confronted the referee in last season's final-16 defeat against AC Milan, which Arsenal ended up losing 4-3 on aggregate.

Montpellier has won just one of their first five games as they seek to defend their newly won French domestic league title.
