Ashley Judd Senate Run? 'Interested In Changing World,' Says Mother Naomi
Ashley Judd has been named as a possible candidate for the U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky this week, with the actress reportedly in the process of making a decision about whether or not to run against Republican Mitch McConnell for the position.
Judd's mother, singer and actress Naomi Judd, furthered the rumors when she said that her daughter is "very interested in changing the world" during an interview with Larry King recently.
"As of right now, she doesn't know," said Judd during the interview on the digital channel Ora TV. "I can tell you she's very interested in changing the world and she know that politics unfortunately right now is one of the ways she could do that."

Moreover, Judd hinted that her daughter may hold off on a political career until 2016, when Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand. Paul would be up for re-election.
It remains uncertain if the "Double Jeopardy" star will take up a political career, but her mother boasted utmost confidence in the 44-year-old actress.
"I will just say, and this is just coming from me personally, I cannot talk for Ashley," started Judd, 66. "I think Ashley would be absolutely one of the best things that ever happened to politics."
Judd is not the only person in Hollywood rumored to be interested in running for office. Last month, whispers surrounded "Argo" director and actor Ben Affleck, who was believed to be running for Congress.
While the actor is known for being involved in politics as well as charitable causes, Affleck debunked the rumors on Christmas Day.
"I love Massachusetts and our political process, but I am not running for office," Affleck started on his Facebook page at the time.
"Right now, it's a privilege to spend my time working with Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI), supporting our veterans, drawing attention to the great many who go hungry in the U.S. everyday and using filmmaking to entertain and foster discussion about issues like our relationship to Iran," the 40-year-old continued.
