For the past decade the Spanish La Liga has been one of the most predictable out there with either Barcelona or Real Madrid claiming the title each year. However, this year Atletico have emerged to make the race a three-way affair, and with just half a dozen games to go of the season they amazingly are the ones top of the league.

Barcelona will understand how difficult the task they have today is. They must go on the offensive and try to break down Atletico and score goals.

That could leave them vulnerable to Atletico's efficient forward players, who will be looking to take advantage of any gaps Barcelona leave at the back.

In team news for Atletico, striker Diego Costa is a doubt, which will be a big concern for them. The 25-year-old has scored 33 goals this season, and has been a vital player for them in exposing opposition defenses all season long. He injured his hamstring in the 1-1 first-leg draw last week.

Also winger Arda Turan could also miss out because of a groin strain.

Meanwhile, for Barcelona, captain Carles Puyol has been included in the squad, despite still struggling with injury. Gerard Pique though will be unavailable with a hip injury. Also goalkeeper Victor Valdes, who recently injured his knee, is sidelined until the end of the season.
