Barcelona are still with a 100 percent record at the start of this new La Liga season, having won all six domestic league matches, as well as their opening Champions League match.

However, they have not been playing only free-flowing soccer that many have come to expect, and at times this season they have had to dig out victories.

On Saturday Barcelona managed to get the win against Sevilla only after Cesc Fabregas and David Villa scored two goals in the final two minutes to overturn Sevilla's surprise lead.

That was not the first time Barcelona have had to come from behind to get the win this season. In their opening Champions League match against Spartak Moscow the Spanish side was losing 2-1 at home to the surprise of most pundits and analysts. However, that time they relied upon Lionel Messi to score two goals in the final 20 minutes to again overturn the game, and convert a loss into a win.

Most of the problems Barcelona have been experiencing have come through defensive frailties. Alex Song has struggled to build a solid partnership in the middle, and Barcelona have been desperately missing the regular center half pairing of Carlos Puyol and Gerard Pique.

Puyol though has now returned to training and could be included tonight. In further good news Andres Iniesta has also returned from injury.

Meanwhile Benfica will be no pushovers by any means. They reached the quarter final stage of the Champions League last season and the Portuguese side will be doing their best to succeed where Spartak Moscow ultimately failed a fortnight ago.

Benfica could only managed a 0-0 draw with Celtic in their opening match, and they would probably be delighted if they could snatch another point from tonight's game against arguably the best soccer team in the world.
