Bayern Munich vs Barcelona Preview: Champions League Semi Final Football Kick Off Time

Bayern Munich vs Barcelona takes place in the Champions League Semi-Final first leg on Tuesday night in Germany. The Spanish giants will be boosted with the probable return of star player Lionel Messi and will be hoping he can inspire them to get a good result and claim the advantage to take back to the Nou Camp for the second leg. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2.45 p.m. ET.

These are the top two teams in Spain and Germany this season, and probably the best two teams in Europe right now too.

Barcelona are entering their sixth consecutive Champions League semi final, which is a record in the competition, and cements their place as Europe's best team over recent times.

However, developments have been interesting, with Pep Guardiola departing Barcelona after leading the team to two Champions League titles over four years, and after a short break, he has agreed to manage Bayern Munich from next season.

So Guardiola will be watching his former team take on his new team tonight in what should be a mouth-watering affair. When Guardiola took over at Barcelona they were a top team starved of success – the season before he joined they had finished third in La Liga and won no trophies at all. He completely changed the direction of the team and turned them into world beaters.

Bayern are in no such predicament and do no need rescuing. Guardiola will be taking the helm at a team which is already one of the best, and which has arguably been the most impressive in the Champions League so far this season.

The German side could potentially take the treble this season by winning the German Bundesliga, as well as the German Cup, and the Champions League.

Tonight's match is a perfect match up between the recognized best team in Europe in Barcelona, against the team nearest to de-throning them of that crown.

For soccer lovers across the globe this will be a match not to miss. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2.45 p.m. ET.
