"[The] second year was way more difficult than the first," Frankel told Leno. "I was pregnant when I got married, so we were all excited about the baby and the wedding."

But after the honeymoon ended and the baby was born, other problems arose, which were highlighted through the couples arguments, according to Radar.

"I'm an initiator of arguments and he's the escalator," she said. "I'll light that fire, and then there's a big fire and I'm like, 'Oh my God, who put that fire there, what happened.'" Frankel continued to explain that those arguments were intensified by the couple's lack of communication

"We keep having the same argument over and over again. Jason thinks that it is a metaphor for the fact that we keep going around in circles in our relationship that we keep having the same argument over and over again," Frankel told CNN's Anderson Cooper.

But now, given that time has passed, it seems the two are coming together to fulfill each other's lives.

"We got married older, so we are accepting each other now … We're together, we're committed, we work on it, and we're in love. And we're in it."

When asked where he sees himself in the future Hoppy said, "Where do I want to be in 10 years? Married to her. Whether she believes it or not!"

Frankel and Hoppy first met November 2008. The coupled wed at the Four Seasons in New York City in March 2010 and Frankel gave birth to their daughter, Bryn, in May 2010.

"Bethenny Ever After" airs Monday nights on Bravo at 10 p.m.
