Beyonce Was 'Tired of Being Alone' Before Jay-Z, Uncle Claims

Beyonce and Jay-Z have always maintained privacy when it comes to their marriage, but the singer's alleged uncle appears to have recently spilled the beans on intimate details about the couple's union.

Larry Beyince, who claims to be Beyonce's uncle, alleges that the Grammy award-winning singer's marriage to Jay-Z, 43, was the result of self contentment on her part and partially influenced by their equally successful careers.

"I was surprised she married him. I think she got tired of being alone. When you have as much money as she does she has to be careful about people wanting her for her money and apparently he had as much as she had," Beyince candidly told Celebuzz.com.

Beyonce, 31, married the hip hop mogul in 2008 after six years of dating, and while the couple is said to be happy and more in love than ever, Beyince claims Jay-Z had to pursue her for some time because she was allegedly not initially interested.

"He was after her and she wasn't. She told me she wasn't too particularly fond of him," he said.

However, Jay-Z has admitted that he first considered Beyonce when she was only 16, but became the singer's friend before any romance happened. After a long courtship, Jay-Z married Beyonce, who is arguably one of the biggest names in music today. In February, she gushed about her husband in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

"I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," Beyonce confessed.

The mother-of-one revealed that she and Jay-Z were close friends for years before their friendship evolved. The pair would communicate via phone frequently and Beyonce believes that building a friendship is key to success in any relationship.

"That foundation is so important in a relationship and just to have someone that you just like, you know, is so important and someone that is honest," she explained.
