Blood Moon 2015 Rumors Claim Apocalypse Will Begin at Moonrise

Rumors have been circulating an apocalypse will take place when an expected blood moon arrives in late September.

One of the rare celestial events occurring on earth, a blood moon is scheduled to rise on September 28, spurring talk of an apocalypse fortune tellers and pastors, and even the Internet have been espousing.

According to rumors, this month's blood moon will bring about a series of catastrophic events around the world that will culminate in the end of the world. Believers have pointed out the recent wildfires that broke out in California, which temporarily turned the moon red, can be interpreted as the initial effects of the coming blood moon.

TV and Internet pastors have also been using the blood moon apocalypse slogan as a means to encourage their audiences and followers to save themselves from the imminent end of mankind by "giving themselves to God."

Purveyors of the blood moon apocalypse have further pointed to several natural events that have recently occurred as being harbingers of the massive global catastrophe that will escalate at the rising of the blood moon.

These natural events include Mount Aso's eruption on Kyushu Island early Sunday. No one was hurt in the eruption after residents were evacuated from the area. The volcano's eruption was preceded by a 5.3 magnitude earthquake which hit Japan's south coast the day before.

The chronic wildfires that have destroyed up to 20,000 acres in Sacramento, California this weekend; a 6.6 magnitude earthquake that hit Mexico Saturday after two separate volcanoes erupted, followed by another 6.6 magnitude quake off the gulf of California, and Ecuador's Mount Cotopaxi's eruption last month are being blamed on the upcoming blood moon.

Talk of the blood moon prophecy started when two Christian evangelists, John Hagee and Mark Britz, both of whom have large followings in the US, proclaimed the September 28 blood moon to be the last of the four blood moons that have appeared in the sky over the last 18 months, signaling the "second coming of Jesus Christ."
