American mobile phone manufacturer Blu has recently launched a new smartphone in India and it's dubbed as Life Mark. According to International Business Times, the device is going to be available in Amazon India with a price tag of only Rs 8,999 (approximately $130).
As a midrange smartphone, its highlight feature is a fingerprint scanner that is located at the back. Its other specifications include a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Gadgets 360 also detailed that the device is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor running at 1.3 GHz paired with 2 GB of RAM. It will have an internal storage space of 16 GB, which can be expanded further up to 64 GB via microSD card.
For its camera specification, Phones Review noted that it will be sporting a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture, Blue Glass filter, and LED flash module. On the front will be a 5-megapixel camera for taking selfie shots and video calls. Its operating system out of the box is Android 5.1 Lollipop, while the battery capacity is 2,300mAh. Tech 2 noted that the company claims the smartphone is capable of providing 20 hours talk-time on 2G, 16 hours on 3G, 7 hours on 4G, and a standby time of 400 hours.
Moreover, the handset also comes with 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS as connectivity options. It also supports dual-SIM and sports a CNC machines-metal build. Consumers who are interested in purchasing one can choose from the color options available, which include Slate Gary, White, and Gold.
Considering the budget price range, the device is said to be a competition to other smartphones like Coolpad Note 3, Coolpad Note 3 Lite, and Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus. Blu is not announcing any flagship smartphone yet, but fans of this mobile brand can opt to pick up the Life Mark for now or Blu's other recent releases, Vivo 5 and Vivo XL.
