Blue Ivy Carter's Lunch Date With Beyonce and Jay-Z

Blue Ivy Carter had her first public appearance during a lunch date with parents Jay-Z and Beyonce Saturday in New York City.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have kept their daughter, Blue Ivy, out of the media spotlight for the most part but let her get some fresh air during a lunch date at the Sant Ambroeus restaurant in Manhattan, according to MTV.com. Beyonce kept Blue Ivy bundled tightly against her completely covered in a black blanket, keeping the baby out of the view of the paparazzi.

The Carter family has made only a few public appearances since the Blue Ivy's birth. A source close to Beyonce said that her main focus is nursing her seven-week-old daughter, according to MSN.com.

"She has been totally doting on Blue," the source said. "She's up whenever the baby's up!"

Beyonce, Jay-Z and Blue Ivy have been spending most of their time in their Scarsdale, New York mansion and Tribeca loft. However, the superstar couple managed to turn heads in their few public appearances. They first emerged for Jay-Z's Carnegie Hall concert earlier in February and for the re-opening of Jay-Z's 40/40 club.

Beyonce and Jay-Z were also spotted at the Madison Square garden last week, sitting courtside for a New York Knick's game and also were spotted dining at a pizzeria in Brooklyn during Grammy's night.

The intimate pizza date at Lucali in Brooklyn, N.Y. was extremely low key and fellow patrons said they behaved just like regular people.

"They were just like a regular couple," a witness said told US Weekly. "They were sitting in front of the place closer to where they make the pizza."

The fellow Lucali customer also congratulated Jay-Z on becoming a father. He said that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, said thank you and shook his hand.

"He said, 'Have a good night'," the patron said.
