Bossa Studios' 'Decksplash' to Become Available for Free for a Week on Steam

Bossa Studios, the developer behind the games "I am Bread" and "Surgeon Simulator," is offering a new game titled "Decksplash" for free on Steam for a week, starting on Nov. 2.

During this time, users will be able to play three-on-three Player vs. Player (PvP) matches, wherein they are granted control over parts of the arena when they are able to neatly execute move combos and then splat down their group's paint on the ground as they land.

"Decksplash" is a skateboarding turf war game. According to VideoGamer, it is like a combination of aspects from professional skateboarder Tony Hawk's style, the then popular 1990s fingerboards, and the spray painting from the "Splatoon" video game.

In Bossa Studios' new title, the skateboards are said to be capable of performing a lot of moves, from simple to complex ones, even without the presence of human riders.

For those who are excited to get their hands on the game, the developer is reportedly planning to release it into Early Access on Steam, however, this will only be made possible if at least 100,000 users will play "Decksplash" during the free week. Should the plan have a successful outcome, the full game could be released as early as Nov. 10.

The players' in-game progress and achievements acquired within in the trial period will all be carried over to the full game if it does get released. Those who participate in the free week will also be rewarded access to the special Erik board set. This gives them an edge as they would have some sort of "Decksplash" record that the rest of the players, who would only play the full game after the release, will not be equipped with.

On the other hand, if Bossa Studios would not be able to reach this particular milestone, the game reportedly will get canceled.
