Right-hander Clay Buchholz will take to the mound today following an extremely long nine day break from when he last took the ball out on the field. It is unclear how much the idleness will affect him, but the Red Sox will hope that he can find his arm straight off and consolidate the good work from Games 1 and 2.

John Lackey was on 10 days' rest before taking the field for Game 2, and he showed a little bit of rustiness; allowing four earned runs and 11 base-runners in his 5.1 innings. It was one of his worst outings of the year, but still, it was enough for the Red Sox to claim the win, given their immense depth of power with the bat this year.

The Red Sox will be hoping that Buchholz can avoid the same issues tonight.
