Brit Awards 2013: What to Expect
The 2013 Brit Awards has lined up a night of quality entertainment on Wednesday with artists gathering from around the world to be recognized.
Often called simply the Brits, the show will honor Amy Winehouse, the London native and soulful singer who died in July 2011. Nominees also include Calvin Harris, Rita Ora, and The xx, among many others.
Top nominees of the night include Mumford & Sons, Emeli Sande, and Alt-J, who are up for three awards each. Among the international nominees are Alicia Keys, Rihanna, the Black Keys, and Lana Del Rey.

Britain's leading music awards will also see live performances by some of today's top artists from the U.K. as well as many other places. Americans Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake will take the stage, as well as British sensations One Direction, Emeli Sande, and Mumford & Sons, among others.
Meanwhile, the showrunners have admitted error in managing Brit Award winner Adele's acceptance speech last year. As the show was running over time, Brit Awards organizers interrupted Adele as she accepted her award.
"I can hint that something is going to happen this year to right that wrong," explained Brits chairman David Joseph while speaking to The Guardian. The chairman added that he couldn't understand "what was happening in that control booth" during Adele's speech.
During the ordeal last year, Adele became outraged over being cut off and flipped off the camera. The "Rolling in the Deep" singer later apologized.
"I'm sorry if I offended anyone but it was the suits that offended me," explained the heralded singer via Twitter. "Thank you all very much and thanks to my fans. I don't want them to think I was swearing at them."
Adele remains very popular at the Brit Awards again this year, as she is up for the newly-minted award for Global Success which recognizes international success, reported BBC.
The Brit Awards will air on Fuse in the U.S., starting at 6 p.m. EST on Wednesday.
