Bubba Watson Tears Up Remembering Green Jacket in Prep for 2013 Masters
In a press conference held Tuesday, professional PGA tour golfer Bubba Watson became teary-eyed while discussing the green jacket he received during the 2012 Masters Tournament, one of the four major championships in professional golf due to take place this weekend in Augusta, Ga.
Watson was speaking with the media at a pre-Masters press conference on Tuesday at the Augusta National Golf Club when a reporter asked him what is the most interesting thing he did with his green jacket, the traditional trophy of the Masters championship.
The professional golfer and pronounced Christian, who has not been afraid to express his emotions in the past, began to tear up when he remembered that the first thing he did with his coveted green jacket after his 2012 win was wrap his adopted son, Caleb, in it.

"Thanks for bringing this up," Watson joked with the reporter as he began to cry, recalling the memorable moment he had with his young son.
"That was the only thing I did with [the green jacket]. I did it out of respect, out of honor … for Augusta National, and one of the greatest clubs we have, one of the greatest tournaments," Watson continued.
"Out of respect for them, I didn't do any of my funny antics I normally do," Watson added while simultaneously chuckling and crying.
Watson has long been known as being an openly emotional athlete.
When he won his first PGA tour competition in 2010, he tearfully thanked his parents, especially his father, who was battling cancer.
The star athlete is also a devoted Christian, and has consistently thanked God for his wins in the past.
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ," Watson tweeted shortly after his Masters win in April 2012.
The Masters 2013 championship will take place beginning this Thursday and conclude Sunday.
Watson will begin defending his Masters title on Thursday, with his main competitors being Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, among others.
