Carrie Bradshaw Apartment for Sale

The brownstone apartment building belonging to Carrie Bradshaw in "Sex and the City" has gone back onto the market this week.

New York City's West Village building sold in November for over $9 million, according to a listing by Sotheby's International Realty, but is up for sale again.

The 64 Perry Street residence includes four floors, ten rooms, six fireplaces, and 4,100 square feet of space. Built over 145 years ago, the home likely needs repairs.

"[The] home is waiting to be restored to its original grandeur," read Sotheby's listing.

Broadcast from 1998 to 2004, "Sex and the City" had a total of 94 episodes and spawned two feature films. The series' main characters include Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York Goldenblatt, Miranda Hobbes, and Samantha Jones.

Residences at 64 Perry Street and 66 Perry Street were used in HBO's hit television series as well as the movies, and also serve as tourist attractions for people who often pose for photos in front of the buildings.

While both "Sex and the City" movies did very well, The CW has decided on a prequel show to the series, "The Carrie Diaries."

AnnaSophia Robb has been selected to portray Carrie Bradshaw in the prequel, the character originally played by Sarah Jessica Parker.

The 18-year-old appeared in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" as the gum-chewing brat.

In the "Sex and the City" prequel, Bradshaw's teenage and early days in Manhattan will be chronicled. In it, the CW hopes to attract a new demographic to the network by heralding back to the 1980s years of the character as she moves to New York City.

The original cast of "Sex and the City," including Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall, and Cynthia Nixon, remain very well-known for their roles in the series.

Parker will appear in the upcoming biopic "Lovelace" portraying Gloria Steinem. The role was originally given to Demi Moore, who was unable to appear on set during the time of production.
