Chris Brown and Rhianna Charity Work: Brown Wants to 'Make Kids Ambitious'

Former couple Chris Brown and Rhianna are individually both involved in charity work. Rhianna has a foundation called The Believe Foundation and Chris Brown has a foundation called the Symphonic Love Foundation. Both foundations focus on children.

Rhianna founded Believe in 2006.

"BELIEVE gives children a chance to not only survive, but thrive in a world where many will never receive the medical attention, school supplies, toys and clothes that they deserve. The foundation is committed to creating change in the lives of our youth by providing educational, financial, social and medical support when and wherever it is needed. Rihanna and the Believe Foundation are committed to helping our children succeed by granting them the tools they need to believe," a message on the website says.

Chris Brown recently talked about why he does charity work and what it means to him in an interview with Hollywood Life.

"My ambitions are to try to make kids ambitious, I was one of those kids who was brought up in gangs and had to be one of the 'bad kids,' so to speak, all the time when I was younger. Being able to see the look on kids' faces [when doing charity work] - it's just about lifting and bringing everybody together," Brown said.

Brown also offered advice to struggling kids when talking to Hollywood Life.

"Just keep your head up. For these young kids coming up, it's all about the choices they make. It's always going to be about the choices they make. They have to surround and be around a lot of people who are going to think positive. Everybody goes through different situations. Everybody struggles and everybody goes through their different problems, but it's how you face it and how you react," Brown said.
