Chris Brown's Mother Expresses Love For Her 'Angel With Broken Wings'

Joyce Hawkins, Chris Brown's mother, took to Twitter after her singer-songwriter son avoided jail time and was sentenced to three months in a rehabilitation center.

"MY ANGEL WITH BROKEN WINGS GOD LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND I DO AS WELL (SIC)," Hawkins tweeted hours after her son's sentencing.

Brown, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter, reportedly threw a rock through his mother's car window after a family counseling session in the initial rehabilitation center that he voluntarily checked into ahead of his court date Wednesday, according to NBC news. However, his time in the facility was short lived.

The singer exited his court hearing hand-in-hand with his off-and-on model girlfriend, Karrueche Tran Wednesday. Instead of encountering jail time, Brown was mandated to complete 24 hours of community service each week and three months in a treatment facility, according to Hip Hollywood reports.

The singer will also undergo random drug tests and be mandated to stay in Los Angeles, according to Hip Hollywood. Last week, Brown left a rehabilitation center where he was taken to voluntarily work on his anger issues.

Hawkins took to Twitter to express her gratitude for her son's supporters earlier this month.

"THANKS @TREYSONGZ FOR BEING THERE FOR THE FAMILY WHEN YOUR SUPPORT WAS MUCH NEEDED AND APPRECIATED. THANKS FOR BEING A REAL FRIEND," Hawkins tweeted recently. "TEAMBREEZY THANKS FOR ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT."

Brown's mother was present with Songz when he was forced to appear in court following his recent arrest. The singer was arrested after he was accused of breaking the nose of Parker Isaac Adams, 20, who allegedly attempted to sneak into a photograph that Brown was taking with two women, according to E! News reports.

Despite his issues, Hawkins has continually reminded her son of his blessings including on his birthday earlier this year.

"You are so blessed! Remember having one pair of shoes, now God has blessed you with more than you could ever imagine," Hawkins told her son in front of over 75,000 Twitter followers. "Thank you God for all."

Hawkins went on to let her son know that he would be blessed with peace during the momentous occasion.

"Just like that one pair of shoes God turned into thousands he will bless you with peace you could never imagine," Hawkins tweeted. "For your birthday today I wish I could give you that peace but I know someone who can do just that. Call on him, his name is Jesus."
