Chris Evert 'CSI' Guest Appearance Set For January
Former professional tennis player Chris Evert will guest-star on a special episode of "CSI" in January, according to CBS.
Additionally, the tennis legend took to Twitter with the news.
"So excited to be on #CSI and working with my friend, Elizabeth Shue," posted Evert. "We shoot the scenes soon!"

CBS' announcement Monday also included former tennis professionals Lindsay Davenport and Justin Gimelstob, who are set to appear on the crime television series.
The retired athletes will portray themselves in the CBS show, which investigates the death of a female professional tennis player.
Evert, 57, is a former World No. 1 tennis player. She has won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, including seven French Opens, three Wimbledons and six U.S. Opens. The athlete also owns the best winning percentage in the history of pro tennis.
A fellow former No. 1, Davenport was a gold medalist during 1996's Olympics. The 36-year-old has also won three Grand Slam singles tournaments. She was ranked World No. 1 on eight different occasions.
Gimelstob, formerly top-ranked as a U.S. junior player, is best known as a tennis commentator on CBS' "This Morning."
"CSI" airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
Meanwhile, Evert often updates her over 25 thousand Twitter followers.
"Can't WAIT to c Anna Karenina this week," wrote the former tennis star. "Just read the book. I think Keira Knightley is adorable and will b awesome in this role.."
"CSI," or "Crime Scene Investigation," has entered its 13th season this year. The series follows Las Vegas criminalists for the Las Vegas Police Department as they use physical evidence to solve gruesome crimes. The show stars William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, and Jorja Fox, among many others.
CBS later added spin-offs "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY."
