Christian Pop Act ZOEgirl Reunites for Lullaby Album

Popular early 2000s female Christian pop group trio ZOEgirl is reuniting after a seven-year hiatus.

Disbanding in 2006, the girl group went on to have families and tend to their own solo musical aspirations. Now they are getting back together for a lullaby project.

They have launched a Facebook and Twitter page to try and recapture a buzz and rake in their old fans.

"It's really us! Since 2006, we've been busy with our families & other projects. In 2013, we decided to do something we've always wanted to do as moms and musicians-Write & record a lullaby album! We can't wait to share it with you!" they announced via the social network site.

The group began in 1999 after Norman Miller, an artist manager for Avalon, thought there was a need for more Christian girl groups.

Once the right women were in place, the group was signed to Sparrow Records and chose the name ZOE out of a list they made. It would later become ZOEgirl, with "zoe" meaning "life" in Greek.

After releasing their self-titled debut in August 2000, they want on to record three more records until disbandment: Life, Different Kind of FREE, and Room to Breathe.

Some of ZOEgirl's singles were: "I Believe," "Anything is Possible," "No You," "Living for You," "With All of My Heart," "Here and Now," "Even If," "Dismissed," "Plain," "Beautiful Name," and "You Get Me."

Before this past announcement, the girls were last together as a group in 2011 on "The Brian Mason Show."

The early 2000s was a huge time for Christian pop acts such as: PlusOne, Jump5, Rachael Lampa, Stacie Orrico, and more.
