Among the guests was Kim Kardashian and at one point Ciara's fiance, whose real name is Nayvadius Cash, 30, made an appearance. Guests feasted on southern specialties including crawfish gumbo, creamed corn, fried chicken, Belgian waffles and peach cobbler, according to People magazine.

"Celebrating @Ciara's baby shower today with @lala #mommymemories," Kardashian captioned in her own Instagram photo.

Ciara took to Instagram to share a photograph of her two-tiered cake which featured blue icing and a matching blue pram with the words "baby love" written in sparklers above a "Baby Wilburn" nameplate. The "It's a boy!" decorations gave away the sex of her unborn baby.

In November, Future, who began dating Ciara in January 2013, proposed with a 15-carat diamond ring on the heels of her 28th birthday. The Grammy award-winning singer confirmed her pregnancy news during a Jan. 14 appearance on "The View."

"I am so happy. These are really the happiest days of my life. I'm enjoying every minute of what's going on. I feel like I'm walking into true womanhood. This is really where it begins," she told OK! magazine. "I'm just excited about being able to build a family."

The Hollywood couple is yet to select a wedding date, however, Ciara revealed that they have begun wedding planning.

"We're definitely working on things every day. I'm going to do things in advance. Luckily, I have time still to work on everything," she told People.

"I feel like it's going to work itself out though, because at least me and my fiance are talking over things," she added. "So when it's time to start working with a wedding planner it will like be A, B, C, boom. We'll have a vision."
