Cindy Crawford Daughter Kaia Stealing Limelight

Cindy Crawford has new competition for the spotlight within her own family- her daughter, Kaia Gerber.

The 11-year-old Crawford look-alike made her modeling debut last year with an ad campaign for Young Versace, but now appears in the play "13 the Musical."

Furthermore, Kaia and her supermodel mother were spotted together over the weekend in Malibu, Calif. where they made headlines for their uncanny semblance.

The pair were photographed in casual clothes, and Gerber donned a mature black crop top and red lipstick.

Despite making her modeling debut last year, Gerber may be holding off on modeling until she is older.

"At this point, she's too young to pursue a career," said Crawford of her rising star daughter while speaking to The Daily. "There aren't even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she's 17 and wants to try it … of course, what can I say?"

Meanwhile, Gerber's modeling debut stirred controversy last year. Because of her adolescence, many people criticized the Versace ad, which featured Gerber with her hands in the pockets of a leather jacket while wearing a skirt and leaning on one leg.

"Cindy Crawford's daughter is sexier at the age of 10 than I was at 19," wrote Twitter user Lauren.

However, Crawford voiced excitement at the time of her daughter's modeling launch.

"I'm so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the Young Versace campaign," the 46-year-old model said in a press release. "I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace."

In the past, Versace has featured Crawford in ads, including a campaign during the early 1990s shot by Richard Avedon.

Crawford shares Kaia as well as son Presley with her husband Rande Gerber.
