'Cult of Chucky' News, Release Date: New Motion Posters Hint at Chucky's Next Victims

The movie "Cult of Chucky" is set for release next month, and a new set of motion posters for the film hint at the killer doll's next victims. The upcoming movie by Don Mancini is a direct-to-video sequel that will show the connections between most of the major storylines across the "Child's Play" franchise, including "Bride of Chucky," "Seed of Chucky" and "Curse of Chucky."

Earlier this week, new images from the upcoming movie made their way online via "Chucky's" official Twitter page, as they teased of Chucky's potential victims and got fans even more excited about what was next in the franchise. The new posters featured Nica Pierce from "Curse of Chucky," as well as Andy Barclay and Tiffany. The images were each captioned from the killer doll's perspective.

The first poster featured Fiona Dourif's Nica, who in "Curse of Chucky" was set up for the murders that Chucky committed in the film. Towards the end of the movie, fans saw her locked away in an asylum, seemingly criminally insane. "If it ain't ol' ironsides! You and me are gonna have some fun... #Cult of Chucky," read the caption of that photo.

The second poster showed Zak Santiago's Carlos, who is an orderly that works at the asylum. "Oh, buddy... You're gonna die in an orderly fashion. Get it?! #CultofChucky," the caption read.

The third poster was of another patient in the asylum named Malcolm, and he had dissociative identity disorder, while the fourth and final one featured Elisabeth Rosen's Madeline, a new character who will reportedly be controlled by Chucky.

"Cult of Chucky" will also see the return of Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, while it features Jennifer Tilly as Chucky's bride Tiffany. In the upcoming movie, the evil bride's soul will reside in the body of Tilly, who plays the role of a famous actress.

"Cult of Chucky" will head to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on Oct. 3.
