Dakota Fanning to Study at NYU

Students at NYU believe they have proof that Hollywood actress Dakota Fanning may be entering the school as a freshman in the fall.

NYU Local has reported that the starlet's full name, Hannah Dakota Fanning and her school email address come up in the NYU Gmail search autofill, indicating she is enrolled and on the school's listserv.

NYU Local explains that through the school's Gmail interface, email addresses can be publicly accessed by anyone with a NYU account.

Fanning was spotted touring NYU's Gallatin School in spring 2010. Reports say that she has received early acceptance to NYU and that she’s been hinting that she would be attending the school for a while.

She would be a member of NYU's class of 2015.

Fanning graduated from Campbell Hall School in Hollywood, California this past June, where she was a varsity cheerleader and was also voted homecoming queen.

Also entering in the fall as freshman are Dylan and Cole Sprouse, stars of "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody."

Other stars that have studied at NYU include Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Lady Gaga, and more recently Haley Joel Osment and James Franco.

Fanning is known for being a child actress, starring in various roles such as I Am Sam, War of the Worlds and Charlotte's Web. She is also known for more serious child roles she's played, such as in Hounddog and The Secret Life of Bees. More recently, she has starred in the Twilight Saga, playing the vampire Jane.

Fanning is the youngest nominee of the Screen Actors Guild Award.
