"Dancing with the Stars" 2016 has not yet returned, and the rumor mill is already hot with the possible cast members for season 22.

Rumor has it that Italia Ricci, who played April Carver in ABC Family's "Chasing Life," is set to join the cast of "Dancing With the Stars" 2016. Also, a couple of stars from "The Bachelorette" will be joining the popular celebrity dance contest, according to Christian Today.

In an interview with E! Online, 27-year-old Ben Higgins brought up the possibility of him joining "Dancing With the Stars." He said he is ready for anything that might happen next to his career.

"I think I'm excited about what experiences are next in life. Just like I never expected to be on 'The Bachelorette,' I never expected to be the Bachelor," Higgins told E! "I don't know what to expect next and I'm open to anything."

Another star from the dating reality series is rumored to be considering becoming part of the dance show's cast. Kaitlyn Bristowe, the star of "The Bachelorette" season 11 and also Higgins' ex-girlfriend, is reportedly interested in acquiring the Mirror Ball trophy.

Bindi Irwin's 11-year-old brother Robert also wants to join the dance contest. He told Australia's "Today Show" that he thinks it would be fun to participate in the show. It is worth noting that Bindi and her partner Derek Hough took home the trophy in the previous season, Enstars reports.

Meanwhile, New York Giants' running back Rashad Jennings could also join the dance bandwagon. However, their participation in the upcoming season is still unconfirmed, the report details.

What is known is that Len Goodman will return as judge in season 22. It can be remembered that he was absent in season 21 because he went home to the United Kingdom to spend time with his family.

"Dancing With the Stars" season 22 premieres on Mar. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The 2016 cast of the show is expected to be announced a few weeks before the air date.
