David Arquette on Howard Stern Drunk: Actor Rambles About Courteney Cox, Hitler and God

'I'll Get Sober Tomorrow,' He Says

David Arquette called Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show Wednesday drunk, incoherent and rambling, according to reports. Because he wasn't sober, he was very forthright about his ex-wife Courteney Cox, his thoughts on Hitler, God and other subjects.

David Arquette, 42, has had problems with alcoholism in the past, but was sober for over two years before falling off the wagon. When he called in to Howard Stern he said he had been partying to celebrate the end of filming "The Key," according to E! News.

"I'm wasted," he said. "This isn't the first time I called you [drunk]. I've called in a few times."

However, in past interviews he wouldn't discuss others' personal lives quite so easily. This time he revealed that ex Courteney Cox, whom he finalized his divorce from in May, has moved on from "Cougar Town" co-star Brian Holt.

"She's with someone who loves and cares for her. That's all I care about," Arquette explained, adding that Cox is "the most brilliant, beautiful friend that I've ever met."

He also had some odd moments during the call, like when he spoke about the "game" Adolf Hitler "convinced a lot of people to play."

"This is the most controversial thing I'm going to say," Arquette began. "Hitler played the game very well. He did. … He convinced a lot of people to play his f------ evil game. He played the game really well, but he was playing the wrong game."

Instead, Arquette said, everyone should be playing the "kindness game," which involves never badmouthing others and showing love whenever possible. He also said that all different religions make us "all connected."

"You're amazing. You are incredible. You are god," he told Stern. "We're all gods in our own way. We're all droplets of God … the whole game is to entertain God. God created us all. God is love. The best feeling is love … We're all connected. It's all the same."

Arquette admitted to drinking Scotch and 1971 Dom Perignon earlier.

"I'm wasted and I'll get sober tomorrow," he said.
