"Summertime: sunshine, lemonade, music festivals, treasure hunts!" wrote the band. "'Treasure hunts,' you say? Why, yes! 7 happy music festivals. 7 items at each. Yes, oh yes, we have left something for you. A gift. So, pay careful attention."

The six-member David Crowder Band – which won three Dove Awards ("Christian Grammys") in 2006 and was MSN's 2006 Artist of the Year out of both Christian and mainstream artists – has been having fun with its fans to announce their upcoming album. Besides the ongoing treasure hunt, they also allowed admirers to follow the album's progress by placing webcams all around their studio during the recording process. Anyone interested could see firsthand what the band was up to.

The band hopes to add onto the excitement with the creative treasure hunt.

"Now if you were in fact in search of remedy to fix a hurt, where might you go to get the aid that dc*b has lately made?" asks the gang on the website. "A few other items that could also be got where right angled Xs might mark the spot: Band-Aids, thermometer, a cot, ace bandages, salve, antibiotic ointment, scissors, tweezers, cleansing agents (soap), little white hats."

Once fans at each of the festivals have deciphered the clues and found the location of the "treasure," they will receive a small glimpse into The Remedy.

But to obtain the object, treasure hunters must explain, "I have been sent by dc*b for one of the 7 remedies."

The five remaining festivals include Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Ill. (June 27); Creation Northeast at Mt. Union, Pa. (June 28); Sonshine Festival in Willmar, Minn. (July 12); Creation Northwest in George, Wash. (July 28); and Spirit West Coast at Monterey, Calif. (August 2).

The first single from the upcoming album was also recently released on June 22. It is titled "Everything Glorious" and can now be heard on Christian airwaves.
